New Hospital at St. Elizabeths East
 

The new ambulatory pavilion is scheduled to open in the fall of 2023, and the new hospital is currently scheduled to open in the fall of 2024.

September 30, 2021 - Mayor Bowser Announces Historic Agreement to Bring GW Physicians, Practitioners, and Academic Medicine to New Hospital at St. Elizabeths East

The GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) and The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) will provide comprehensive health care service for adults at the new acute care hospital at St. Elizabeths and two new urgent/ambulatory facilities to open in Wards 7 and 8.  Read the full release.
