February 17, 2022 - Mayor Bowser and Universal Health Services Break Ground on New Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health at St. Elizabeths East in Ward 8, First Hospital Built in the District in Over 20 Years

September 30, 2021 - Mayor Bowser Announces Historic Agreement to Bring GW Physicians, Practitioners, and Academic Medicine to New Hospital at St. Elizabeths East

The GW Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) and The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) will provide comprehensive health care service for adults at the new acute care hospital at St. Elizabeths and two new urgent/ambulatory facilities to open in Wards 7 and 8.  Read the full release.
